Do you love your Bible study?

I didn’t.

In fact, in the last six months I only attended Bible study a handful of times.

I didn’t love it. I didn’t even like it a little.

That started to change when I engaged. When I went to Bible study and there was a really good lesson. It made me want to know what I had missed. So I purchased the book the teacher was reading and read the whole thing. It was fantastic and made me want to study the Bible again.

But I didn’t really know where to start.

Do you know what I learned?

It doesn’t really matter where you start, as long as you start somewhere.

I’ve been reading Philippians on my own… and when I say Philippians, I mean I read the first chapter or two every day. I’ve been ruminating on it.

This semester I’m teaching a Bible study about contentment. It wasn’t my choice, but I’m loving every minute of study.

From Bible reading to digging into the background of a topical study, I love my Bible study again. And all I really needed to do was to start.

So today, I want to ask you, are you studying the Bible?

Or have you been so off put by it that you haven’t tried at all?

We’re starting our contentment study next week, and I’d love to invite you to join us. If you’re local, you can attend Sunday mornings or Tuesdays at lunch. If you’re planning to attend virtually, I’ll post the lessons every Tuesday afternoon.

So what do you say, are you in?
